**SIKHSOC AGM2007 & ELECTIONS - NEXT WEDNESDAY 6PM - BOLDREWOOD**
It's that time of year when we need to organise a great team to lead Sikhsoc
into the new year. Its been a really exciting year for the society, which is
still in its infancy. We need people like you to keep it going and to bring
fresh new ideas. Its up to you how you run your Sikhsoc, but the Union does
require us to have some specific roles shown below:
~President~ is responsible for leading the Sikhsoc and representing Sikhsoc
in the Union and local community. The president runs meetings and keeps an
eye on things overall. Ideally, the president is a practising Sikh.
~Secretary~ keeps minutes at meetings, looks after the Sikhsoc email account
and keeps a general log on communication with Sikhsoc. The secretary also
keeps an up to date list of members
~Treasurer~ looks after the cash dollar! They liase with the bank, maintain
Sikhsoc accounts, write cheques and pays in any Sikhsoc money.
After this, its up to you what other roles we have. Suggestions include:
~Publicity Rep~ responsible for making posters and coordinating the
marketing of Sikhsoc events.
~Sports rep~ organises lots of sports and activities for Sikhsoc members to
enjoy.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BEING ON NEXT YEAR’S COMMITTEE, COME ALONG TO NEXT
WEEKS MEETING AT 6PM, BOLDREWOOD CONCOURSE.
We will ask everyone who wants to be on next year’s committee to tell us
what they want to want to do, and why they will do a good job. We’ll then
work as a group to make the best committee- this might require a vote or
just some common sense and discussion.
